Eastern Suburbs Super Youth league under 13s team have been crowned 2016 Super Youth League Premiership Winners after their weekend 3 – 1 win over Loganholme.
Following on from their extremely successful 2014 season winning both the under 12 Super Youth League Premiership and Grand Final, the boys are now half way to consecutive back to back League and Grand Final winners in season 2014 & 2015.
The team will also have the opportunity to add even more silverware to their collect when they represent Football Brisbane in the up and coming 2015 Champions of Championship on the Sunshine Coast.
The team have benefited from the development program set up 3 years ago at Easts, along with the coaching from both Danny Wright and Cameron Bell. In season 2014 under the guidance of Danny Wright the boys showed that this was a talented group of young footballers who had the desire to achieve. With a great football foundation laid by Danny Wright the boys started their development and football pathway at Easts football club. Since the first weekend training camp at Runaway Bay the boys under the guidance of Cameron Bell the boys took another huge steps in their individual skills, game knowledge and team play. They moved into the next phase of their football development and began to play a wonderful brand of open attacking football.
Under the control of Cameron Bell the boys continued to learn, play and strive to produce great football week after week, Belly challenged them for consistency at the highest level both at training and in games. The team accepted the challenge and played wonderful football and in a style that would please all those who watched. After the final round of fixtures the boys find themselves League Champions for the second consecutive season and well desired winners of the title.
Easts Junior Football Club now head into the Super Youth League Grand Final series starting this weekend with 3 from our 4 teams the under 12s, 13s and 15s representing the club. Leaving Easts Football Junior development program in good health and looking good for season 2016!
